Seven days is enough to see Prague properly and add two classic day trips. This plan keeps a relaxed pace. Check opening hours, ticketing and timetables before you go, since they change.
Day 1: Prague orientation
Arrive, settle in and walk the Old Town. Aim for an early dinner and an early night to beat jet lag. See where to stay.
Day 2: Castle and Malá Strana
Visit Prague Castle early to avoid crowds, then walk down through Malá Strana. Cross the river by the old stone bridge in the evening when it is calmer.
Day 3: Jewish Quarter and Vinohrady
Spend the morning in the Jewish Quarter and the afternoon exploring Vinohrady for cafés, parks and a local feel.
Day 4: Hills and parks
Walk Petřín and Vyšehrad for views. Add Stromovka or the Holešovice area if you have energy. Keep it light.
Day 5: Český Krumlov
Take a long day trip, or better, stay overnight. See Český Krumlov.
Day 6: Kutná Hora
Visit the cathedral and the bone chapel at Sedlec. See Kutná Hora. It is an easy train trip from Prague.
Day 7: Departure
Leave time for a last coffee and airport transfer. See flights guide and getting around Prague.
Practical notes
- Check public transport fares on the official PID site. See transport guide.
